Mini-pupillages are available at Carmelite Chambers. We welcome applications from all of those interested in finding out more about a career at the Bar.
Your application should be by CV and covering letter to our Chambers’ Administrator, Orla O’Sullivan. We do not have any formal assessment of applications; places will be allocated on a first come first served basis subject to availability. We will always do our best to accommodate holiday times and it will assist if you can give a number of date periods as options when you apply. Bear in mind mini-pupillages can be up to five days but we will consider shorter periods of time if it will assist.
We have a discretionary travel fund to assist those who would wish to spend time with us time on a mini-pupillage but may be restricted by means. Please ask our Chambers Administrator for more information.
We encourage applications from candidates from all backgrounds, especially those not yet well represented at the Bar. We are striving to ensure that the Bar is an accessible profession, open to those with ability regardless of their gender, ethnicity or economic background.
We also encourage mini-pupillage applications from individuals with a disability, and although access to our listed premises is not straightforward, we can put in place measures to accommodate any disability.
We see strength in diversity and equality.
