Two defendants cleared of manslaughter in slimming drug death trial

Albert Huynh and Mary Roberts were acquitted on the judge’s direction following successful submissions of no case to answer in respect of unlawful act and gross negligence manslaughter and putting an unsafe product on the market at Inner London Crown Court yesterday.

Eloise Parry took an overdose of DLP tablets in April 2015 which tragically led to her death from DLP toxicity hours later.

The trial continues for Roberts in respect of an allegation of money laundering and for Rebelo who faces manslaughter counts and marketing DLP.
