Gerard Hillman’s Company Director client acquitted of fraud and trade mark offences following substantial legal arguments.

Gerard Hillman represented the director of a company supplying insulation materials.  Proceedings were brought under a private prosecution that required detailed analysis of the Trade Marks Act and Insolvency Act

On the first day of trial Gerard’s client faced 7 counts on the indictment.  This was reduced to 3 counts by the time the jury was put in charge.  Following lengthy submissions over a number of days HHJ Testar ruled that there was no case to answer on the 3 counts Gerard’s client faced.
