Chris Henley QC and Laura Hocknell acquitted in Erroll Hanson murder trial.  Mr Hanson was charged with murdering a burglar who he found in his home in the early hours of the morning.

After a violent struggle the defendant took knives from his kitchen and repeatedly stabbed the burglar, killing him. At least 50 separate stab wounds were found to the deceased's body, including 30 to his neck. Mr Hanson's defence at trial was that he had acted in self defence. He was unanimously acquitted by the jury.
