Simon acts both as junior counsel and led counsel in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal, covering all aspects of crime, including homicide, drugs, white collar, fraud, sexual offences and serious violence. He accepts instructions on a publicly funded and private basis and is qualified to act directly on behalf of members of the public and corporate bodies in appropriate cases.

He is often instructed in cases involving detailed legal argument or cross examination in complex trials, and is capable of combining a technical approach with a high level of client care. He has a proven track record on appeal, both against sentence and conviction. An experienced civil practitioner, he also frequently deals with cases which require knowledge of aspects of civil law.
