Mark has been described by a Defendant as “an exceptional character with a library of knowledge. He is thorough in his approach and incredibly hard working in trying to get the best result. Through the whole process he demonstrated unbelievable determination in organising the case and never left a stone unturned.”

Mark regularly appears in the Crown Court and acts for individuals charged with serious matters; he has a particular interest in matters that relate to fraud, both criminal and civil, money-laundering and financial crime.

Mark’s experience in general crime involves allegations of violence, often in a domestic setting, drugs and dishonesty.

Mark has experience of conducting proceedings brought by the General Dental Council before the Professional Conduct Committee. Given Mark’s experience in Criminal Defence cases, he is well-placed to deal with professional discipline matters involving quasi-criminal and serious allegations.

Mark was recently seconded to the Financial Conduct Authority to assist the Authority with the changes in Pre-Charge Bail, brought in by the Policing and Crime Act 2017. As such, Mark now has a great familiarity and experience with the issues surrounding Pre-Charge Bail.

Member of the Criminal Bar Association and the Young Fraud Lawyers Association.
