Exclusively criminal defence practice with experience in all matters of dishonesty (including benefit fraud and SFO fraud prosecutions) violent offences and drugs offences.
Frequently instructed both alone and as a led junior in lengthy and complex cases.
Has an increasing specialisation in sexual offence cases, ranging from possession of indecent images to rape, especially those involving young defendants and/or complainants, and has developed particular expertise in the cross examination of witnesses in these sensitive cases. She is also often instructed in allegations of domestic violence and cases where both complainants and defendants are vulnerable because of their age or mental health. She has experience in contesting the full range of preventative orders, especially ‘crack house’ Closure Orders. She has also acted for clients at Mental Health Review Tribunals and at Parole Board hearings and prison adjudications. She is a member of the Criminal Bar Association and the South Eastern Circuit.
