Country-wide practice in all areas of serious crime. A specialist in criminal law, and in particular in defending cases, over a career spanning in excess of 40 years.

Has acted with considerable success in cases of murder, manslaughter, the full range of sexual offences (including internet crime and grooming), fraud, major cases of drug importation and supply, human trafficking, kidnap and blackmail.

Has a considerable reputation for his skill in cross-examining children and vulnerable witnesses and those with mental health issues and in dealing with defendants with such issues. He is a vulnerable witness facilitator trainer.

He is jury-friendly and quick to build a rapport with clients, even the most challenging, with his down to earth approach.

Recent cases have included rape, attempted murder, kidnap and numerous drug conspiracies where the police targets have been organised crime groups.

He is a member of the South Eastern Circuit and the Criminal Bar Association.
