Criminal defence practitioner and experienced junior, has acted on cases of varying size and complexity, representing defendant’s on many serious cases including kidnap, sexual offences, firearms offences, fraud and general dishonesty and multiple Murder. frequently Instructed to represent juveniles charged with serious offences, particularly difficult or vulnerable clients and clients with mental health difficulties. Appearing before the Court of Appeal on many occasions in relation to appeals against sentence and conviction.
Former lecturer and Unit Leader at the London Metropolitan University. She lectured in the Laws of Criminal Evidence and Procedure and Criminal Law. Former Lecturer on the Bar Vocational Course (Manchester University) teaching Advocacy and Ethics.
INTERNATIONAL LAW United Nations supported Special Court in Sierra Leone. In this International Criminal Tribunal she appeared as a consultant for a defendant charged with Mass Genocide and allied crimes against humanity. She specialised in two main areas namely the issue of forced marriages/sexual slavery and Child slavery in Sierra Leone and other parts of West Africa.

R -v- Nicholas Van Hoogstraten, Central Criminal Court Second Junior Counsel to Richard Ferguson Q.C in high profile, conspiracy to commit murder trial. Property tycoon accused of instructing two others to kill a business associate. R -v- Usman Butt, Central Criminal Court Junior Counsel for defendant jointly charged with twelve others in the double murder of two brothers. The matter being split into two separate trials due to its exceptional size. R -v- Fenton Findley, Central Criminal Court Junior Counsel for defendant jointly charged with drug./.gang related conspiracy to commit murder. R –v- Canea Cameron. Sheffield Crown Court Attempted Murder, Acted alone as defence Counsel for a juvenile charged with drug and gang attempted Murder/conspiracy to commit Grievous Bodily Harm with the use of a firearm. R –v- Mark Grayson, Sheffield Crown Court Junior Counsel, instructed for defendant jointly charged with conspiracy to Supply Class A drugs. This case involved one of the North’s biggest drug seizures. R -v- Julio Odjoma, Middlesex Guildhall Junior Counsel for first defendant jointly charged with four others with a gang related kidnap and false imprisonment of a child. R –v- Issa Sessay, Special Court, Sierra Leone Junior Counsel/Consultant to defendant charged with Genocide and allied crimes against humanity. R v Steele Manchester Crown Court Appeared alone for the first defendant in a 11 handed Violent Disorder allegation arising out of clashes between rival football gangs. R –v- Campbell Central Criminal Court Junior Counsel in seven handed Murder case. A family of five all charged with the murder of a young father in Hemel Hempstead. R –v- Grant, Central Criminal Court Junior Counsel in two handed murder of a shop keeper. The defendants were brothers R –v- Benfield, Junior Counsel in seven handed murder of a 14 year old boy. Juvenile defendant.
