CALLED 2002

BACKGROUND
Before being called to the bar, I worked for the city law firm Clifford Chance for over seven years between 1993 and 2000.

After qualifying from Clifford Chance, London, I spent over five years in Clifford Chance's offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and was involved in all aspects of Chinese corporate and commercial work.

Thereafter I went on to front the Mergers and Acquisitions Department in Shanghai where a number of "first time" transactions were successfully completed, including China's first merger of foreign-invested enterprises, China's first joint venture insurance company, and China's first private telecommunications deal, among others.

After successfully passing the conversion examination for the Bar, I was called to the Bar in 2002.
