RECENT CASES
R v Herkuran Billa  Snaresbrook Crown Court
This case involved an ‘Albanian Mafia’ feud, which lead to a ‘hitman’ style shooting in a private restaurant. Two gunmen marched in and started shooting randomly at all the occupants. The case centered on a dispute over the territorial rights to steal from London’s parking meters.
R v Ian Freeman Newcastle Crown Court
Ian ‘the machine’ Freeman charged with tax evasion offences. The defendant was spared a custodial sentence given his background, endless charity work and excellent mitigation.
R v Tomas Wiesniecki Liverpool Crown Court
Large scale gun and drug importation with 15 defendants.
R v Aiden Molseed Sheffield Crown Court
Instructed to represent defendant who played a pivotal and important role in a large scale fraud, which involved losses, of nearly a quarter of a million pounds.
R v Laura Page Southwark Crown Court
Instructed as junior Counsel in a large scale high profile fraud in which the principal Paul Page was alleged to have committed a wide ranging fraud in excess of £3 million. The defendant Paul Page was a royal protection police officer and a substantial number of losers were police officers. Laura Page was charged with money laundering offences. She was acquitted after submissions.

R v Ian Sagar  Leeds Crown Court
Due for trial in the spring of 2010, this is an eight handed fraud which has received substantial press coverage given the unusual nature. The allegation involves a VAT loophole for disabled car drivers if the car is converted. The case involves a vast amount of high performance super cars.
R v Marcus Henry, Central Criminal Court
Defendant acquitted of attempted murder and section 18 wounding. The defendant used a 4 inch key fob gun, described as a ‘james bond style’ weapon to shoot a fellow night clubber following an earlier altercation. The defendant was sentenced to 9 years for possession of a firearm with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon and section 20 wounding.
R v Younatan Frezgi, Central Criminal Court
Defendant acquitted of attempted murder and two counts of robbery. Eight handed case involving a gang from south east London. Case involved the attack and stabbing of an asian male who had intervened to protect his younger brother who had been robbed by the gang. Sentenced to 5 years detention for section 18 wounding

R v Olukemi Ogunbiyi and 7 others, Southwark Crown Court
Leading Junior in a large scale fraud involving NHS Trust. One of Co-conspriators was Joseph Odugwa, who is listed as part of operation Artemis on the Metropolitan Police Website for 'Ten most Wanted'. Investigation by Mets Economic and Specialist Crime Unit.
R v Andrew West and others, Reading Crown Court
Large Scale Conspiracy to supply drugs. Involved complicated surveillance techniques and  detailed analysis of RIPA legislation. Considered the 'largest and most complex investigation ever undertaken by Thames Valley Police'.
R v Jerome Fantie and others, Central Criminal Court
Recent acquittal after 3 month murder trial involving seven young defendants. The murder was part of an on-going feud between two rival gangs in the Croydon area.
R v. Walczak, Kingston CC.

Large scale importation of cigarettes, trial eventually stayed as an abuse through Customs non-disclosure.
R v. Cooper, Southwark CC.
Large scale fraud to the value of £1 million involving travel agencies.
R v. Ketchen, CCC.
Murder and sexual offences.
R v. Oliver, Isleworth CC.
Dishonesty offences in relation to airport staff, one of the principal losers being Victoria Beckham.
R v. Smithson, Southwark CC.
Firearm production and distribution with international organisation.
R v. Mustafa, Reading CC.
Conspiracy to distribute heroin.
R v. Maitland, CCC.
Murder and Perverting the Course of Justice arising out of drug vendetta execution.

REPORTED CASES
R v Jason Charles [2006] 1 Cr. App. R. (S) 48
14 years imprisonment for wounding with intent, where the appellant fired a shot from a converted blank firing pistol into the victim's face from about 2ft, following a dispute about a minor road accident reduced to 12 years. Appellant originally faced Indictment alleging attempted murder.
