PRACTICE
As a specialist criminal defence advocate Grahame is instructed as junior and Leading junior in all areas of criminal law, with particular specialism in large scale fraud, drug conspiracies and serious violence, including child murder, mercy killings, contract and gangland killings. R v Shepherd & others Leading junior for first defendant in £100 million conspiracy in trade mark/identity fraud at Southwark Crown Court. Defendant charged with multiple breaches of trademarks on a substantial commercial basis for organised criminal enterprises over the UK.
R v Cobb & others Leading junior for first defendant in long term fraudulent conspiracy to handle multiple plant and machinery and money laundering. A nine week trial was the result of massive police investigation into the trade of stolen plant across the building sector country wide.
R v Pickering & others Leading junior in £5 million conspiracy to defraud mortgage companies. Complex fraud involving mortgage advisers, accountants, builders and developers and multiple properties across the South of England.
R v Patterson & others Leading junior for first defendant in £1 million conspiracy to steal, handle and burgle motor vehicles on large scale at Kingston Crown Court. Case involved long term undercover police investigation.
R v Evans & others Leading Junior for defendant charged in £1 million conspiracy to supply class A drugs. Cut throat defence deployed in 8 week trial at Kinston Crown Court after long term police surveillance operation and undercover infiltration.
R v Tinuoso Acted alone in CCC for defendant charged with the Murder of a complete stranger “on a whim”. Case involved complicated psychiatric issues and hospital negligence in early release of mental patient.
R v McFarlane & others Representing first of ten defendants in six week trial of conspiracy to operate e-bay fraud to breach trademarks of multiple clothing manufacturers at Manchester Crown Court.
R v Hoyles & others Leading Junior for defendant charged with ten others at Lewes Crown Court in conspiracies to supply class A drugs and do GBH. Defendant was member of notorious and ruthless South Coast gang, which continued to operate the organisation from prison cells after some initial arrests.
R v Martin Importation of 1 million ecstasy tablets destined for Irish paramilitary organisation resulted in trial at Canterbury Crown Court.
