Barrister and Mayoral Aide acquitted of extreme pornography charges

Prosecution of prominent gay barrister and politician for 5 offences of extreme pornography and a single count of possession of an indecent image. 

The case raised article 8 (right to a private life) and article 10 (right to receive information) issue as well as the application of Section 3 of the Human Rights Act.

Factually the case concerned whether images on the defendant's Hotmail account were extreme in that they were obscene and portrayed acts likely to cause serious injury.
